The Passing of Another Summer

Today I ate a tasty apple.

And I missed America.

So here's a picture of a typical pit-stop on the Bohemian Highway:

Well I feel like an old hobo, I'm sad lonesome and blue.
I was fair as a summers day -now the summer days are through.

You pass through places and places pass through you,
but you carry them with you on the soles of your travelin' shoes.

And America misses you, Ben!
Today I am making a peach pie. Do they have peaches in Italy? The cottage is really coming along...we went up last night...you will LOVE the loft. The kids will be able to climb a ladder from the kitchen to get up there. Sarah and Annie and I, with all the kids, are going to pick apples next week.
We miss you more than words can tell.
Love, Mama

PEACH PIE IS MY FAVORITE THING ON THIS EARTH. Anna has been making them lately. I get angry when she makes apple pie. What a second-rate pie is apple.

(it's fresh crunchy apples that make me think of america)

My last picture of the cottage shows it as a torn down wreck. Send more.

Mike: I hope to be able to catch up with you when you're here!

The Be Good Tanyas! A friend of mine who shared my taste in music was always trying to get me to listen to them and I just never got around to it. Maybe it's time to make a small iTunes purchase...

For only a dollar the Littlest Birds is worth it.
