This Guy

Okay, could somebody tell me who these guys are? I found them at my parents house:

I think these guys go together and here's another hint: the guy on the right used to have little white wings on his helmet. Sometimes I wonder if I would be more successful if I had a winged helmet.

I've also started wondering about the mysterious Mysta-Bot...

I'm sure I owned the guy in the leopard skin underware but it's a hazy memory.. Are they from Masters of the Universe?

No, that's the thing. These guys are NOT from Masters of the Universe.

And I'm not makeing ANY leopard skin underwear jokes here because it's just too easy. But I miiight make some kind of muscle joke or green pig-head joke.

The helmeted guy is Warlord from DC comics. Remco made action figures based on the comic around 1982. I think the other guy was part of the line as well but i didn't find a picture of him...

Warlord? Was that Arack or something like that?

WARLORD! That's it. Thanks H of D. I actually realized this earlier this year when I discovered that Warlord was a DC coics series -but I couldn't look it up again, because I had forgotten the name Warlord. Well, here's the Warlord Wikipedia Entry for anyone interested.

Looking back to what I thought of his outfit when i was a kid I actually remember mistaking the leopard print for a cow print and thinking it strange that some kind of barbarian would have cow print shorts and cape (he used to have a cape).

Yes, he is Warlord from the World of Warlord, a 1970's/1980's comic. Yours is missing his leopard/cow print cape, and white "wing ears" that go on his helmet.

MINE still has them, though. He also came with a generic silver sword. I used to own a Warlord fig too, and actually just "rebought" one on ebay, in package (cheap).

"Arak, Son of Thunder" was the Native American figure with the axe, who also had a comic around that time. Green pig man, I'm not sure. Remco made several He-man rip-off lines, so he probably belongs to one of those.

So.. So are you ugoing to open the package? World of Warlord was really special because Warlord starts out as an Airforce pilot. What a career change!

So green pig guy remains UNIDENTIFIED!

Does any of this sound right???

I use to do Toy ID for a comic store so I know all sorts of tricks to track down ID's... most of the time I can ID the item but sometimes I have to cry out for help...

GOOD WORK, H of D. This was right on. Olmec was the final key to the puzzle. I searched "Olmec Pig Head" and came up with this ebay page that shows a definitive picture of Pig Head in his Rulers of the Sun box. With his charming pink and blue shield.

And thanks for helping me figure this out! your toy identification skills are impressive!

Wow Kenny, you're reading pretty far back in the ol' blog. I should dig this guy out and put him up for sale. He'd be better in someone else's collection than in a box at my parent's house.
