Little Song and Dance Number

Lyrics by Julia, sung roughly to the tune of "I'm a Little Teapot."

Oh, and today is the day that Zita the Spacegirl is officially released. Hooray! I wrote this funny little article for the Macmillan blog about making comics while surrounded on all sides by your kids. You can read it here.

Happy Tuesday!

I hope release day brings some surprises so it's not anticlimatic...you've been looking forward to today for a long time. Heck, we've all been looking forward to today.
I enjoyed the blog post at McMillan. I, too, wonder how you do it. Congratulations!

Congratulations on release day! I hope it goes as great as it should, because the story really is wonderful! There was a link to my review to it that I found on this blog:

http://charlotteslibrary.blogspot.com/2011/01/this-sundays-round-up-of-middle-grade_30.html

so hopefully that generates a little more traffic to you as well.

I also really enjoyed the Macmillan article, there's definitely days when I wonder how I can possibly get all my art obligations done and take care of my girls. "I just try real hard." is an excellent answer. Thanks for sharing!

Zita release day- yay! Snowstorm preventing my Amazon preorder from reaching my house - boo!

Sigh. It'll still count as a first-week sale, though! And I have six children (and two adults!) champing at the bit to read it when it finally arrives!

Bonus exclamation points!!!!

I just finished reading Zita the Spacegirl and I loved it. Of course, that was AFTER I managed to get it back from my kids. They loved it first. My 8 year old has already read it twice. Congratulations and best wishes for a fantastic release day!

PS I posted a review on Zita at The Literate Mother www.theliteratemother.org, Goodreads and Amazon. :)
