Totoro Cake

Ah, gluten-free Totoro cake with organic rice and almond flour and locally made beeswax candles! It was Zita's 5th birthday, so she got to wear the crown at dinner.

The events of the last panel may or may not be strictly true. What is true is that despite having so much "help" the totoro cake didn't turn out half bad. This was actually the second totoro cake I've made -the first being for Angelica's 2nd or 3rd birthday.

EDIT UPDATE: Happy Feast of St. Joseph! Open a bottle of red. Or start a carpentry project...

Came across a multitude of your websites today. I'm simply in love with your artwork, some of which is in my home. Could you PLEASE email me with a link or list of items you have published or have for sale? I'm pretty certain I've seen your illustrations in our Seton Home Study books. I saw on your blogs you designed an ABC set, but can't find it to purchase. Any help is appreciated - what an incredible talent you have.

I'm an artist and homeschooling mom, who likes your subject matter and style!

Thanks Melissa!

This reminds me that I've been meaning for weeks now to put a list of books on the sidebar! It's so easy for me to put off website improvements...

Ben, I love these shorts of you and your family. This (and the more recent Hunny Bunting) are awesome.
