Guest Artist: Angelica's Seasonal Dragons

We've been making our way through Patricia Wrede's Enchanted Forest series. They're fun books, but despite the titles Dealing with Dragons, Searching for Dragons, Calling on Dragons and Talking to Dragons, Angelica is of the opinion that there are not nearly enough dragons in the stories.

Well, she'll just have to write her own book (or graphic novel) about dragons, then! She seems to be off to a good start..

1) Fantastic dragons!
2) Not enough dragons? Kazul is everywhere in the book. Oh, the sheer number of dragons is lacking, I suppose. That means that Tolkein's "Farmer Giles of Ham" Is right out. It's only got the one (But with a cool name: Chrysophylax)

Well, I should be fair. It's the second one she complained about, because they spend the whole book trying to search for Kazul. We're starting the third one tonight.

I wish they all had the covers by Trina Schart Hyman!

These dragons are beautiful and I can see from her earlier drawings how she has developed her skills even in these last few months. What a talented family!

Fabulous dragons! I always love seeing your girls' art. (We are fond of Nesbit's Book of Dragon's, though Crysophylax is surely a Most Favored Dragon.) How delightful to have Seasonal Dragons!
