Fire and Smoke

I had a birthday this weekend marking 34 years of rambling through this old world.

Anna gave me a party with quite a few of our friends. Anna’s cool because even when I pretend I don’t want a party she makes one anyway and lots of friends come over and I have fun. And then all of a sudden I’m dive rolling over lines of children and then she’s dancing with fire and I’m playing a drum and wondering where my precious, precious grumpiness went. Here’s a video of a few short snippets of jumping and fire breathing followed by Anna’s first time doing fire poi in front of a group:

I also smoked a cigar.

It may not sound like much, but the cigar is a Big Deal. It’s a Big Deal because, strangely enough, I have never before smoked _anything_ in all my 34 years. (okay, granted, I don’t remember much from the first couple of years of my life but I’m assuming I wasn’t one of _those_ babies). It was pretty cool, and I had the good fortune of starting out with a pretty high quality cigar.

It was a big weekend and now it feels like Summer is here. Let's hope it’s a good one.

Finally, here's a bit of Zita the Spacegirl fan art that came my way courtesy of Gaelen:
