Avoiding Debtors Prison

I don't know if this comic is terribly funny, but it is terribly TRUE.

Lately we've been playing Poker instead of Dungeons and Dragons and so far I've only won a single hand (hence the dollar). Last night I lost every single hand. I even tried cheating and it didn't help.

Addendum: PREVIEWS- Voyage of the Dawn Treader (link thanks to Tim Canny) and this beautiful animated feature (link via Maggie)

That is really funny. Thanks for sharing!

P.s. because I know you love Narnia. Did you see that the Dawn Treader trailer came out last night???

YEah! I posted a link to it. At first I was a little put off by the white witch showing up again, then I realized that that is probably in the dark island where dreams come true. And that's not so bad, you know?

I refuse to believe that Dawn Treader could be anything more than an utter and complete ruination of the story. After they butchered Caspian like they did..... and ripped my heart out in the process, I'm just not putting it out there again. I am prepared to be woefully disappointed. It's The Lord of the Rings all over again. Oh, the tears I have shed........

P.s. You guys are heading west soon, right? When will we see you? I miss you.

But in order to be REALLY properly disappointed you have to get your hopes way up. Think to yourself "this will be JUST like it was in my imagination ...but MORE!" And then go to the theater dressed in costume and look scornfully at other moviegoers who smirk at you.

Then when you exit the theater, so confused and underwhelmed, you will will be able to fill a Seven Eleven Big Gulp cup with tears.

Oh, yeah, and we'll be heading out in a couple weeks!

Speaking of movies, did you see the new trailer for Disney's Tangled? I'm mostly awed because they had tried to capture a painting effect in the film and it looks pretty cool. I could really watch those characters move all day

The Turtles in the previous post are awesome - also I noticed in the foreground of the turtle photo some pens next to a card deck. Markin' em maybe? I'm shocked I tell you, Shocked!

I watched that Tangled Trailer the other day and I'm still trying to figure out how I feel. There are fun elements and textures and character design to be sure... I don't know. I could also see this film being a total mess.

Of course that's what I thought about the Toy Story 3 trailer and that film seems universally loved so far.

Anyway I'm SHOCKED that you would accuse me of marking cards! No, I tried slipping an ace under the table before the game and was caught when my methodical friend counted them before dealing.
